Summer Fun at Six Flags!

I was so excited when Au Pair #2, Nuch, came to visit me this summer. Well, I just had to take her to Six Flags Great America! This place is awesome! My Mom screamed and laughed so hard!

I really liked the Batman. The scary Joker Men were really cool and the special effects really impressed me. Mom wasn't as impressed as I was. She though it had cheese...whatever that means...I didn't see any cheese. I will agree with her that the line was incredibly long.

Mom's favorite was The Demon. Au Pair # 3, Gift, refused to go on it. Mom howled like a banshee but I just kept saying "Oh dear...oh boy...why did I go on this thing." I wasn't trying to be funny but Nuch and Mom couldn't tell Gift what I said without bursting into giggles so hard that they couldn't even breathe!

Mind you Great America is expensive so drink lots of Coke for discounts and if you're going to make the trip, you really can't miss the Buccaneer Battle. On this ride you have a gun, and they have a gun...water gun that is! You get to shoot other ships and people on the pier! They of course get to shoot you so you get totally soaked! Awesome!

I would suggest that you go early and make Hurricane Harbor your first stop. It's popular and crowded and reaches capacity fast. We meant to go there later in the day but could not because it filled up! Still a pretty cool day though. This is getting a Tynan 4 star rating! Actually I would give it five, but Mom suggested that we take off a star for expenses. Whatever! Go to the Money Tree Mom and pick us up more cash!

Out and About

July 3 - Freedom Eve

Chicago cut their downtown fireworks, but that's okay by us. We've been going to Calumet City's Freedom Eve for the past three years. They do a great job. Lots of bouncy things, games with candy prizes, hot dogs and of course fireworks. Definitely worth a Tynan Four Star Rating

Christensen Family Reunion 2010

We Christensens (descendants that is) really know how to get it together. This summer we went back to Flagstaff to the Arizona Mountain Inn. In a word, awesome. I've already informed Mom that our next stop is Montana to visit my pal Nicholas and my beautiful girls.

Uncle Jim is very cool, he knows like, everything and he took us to an Archaeology site.

I had an awesome time, but I'm not much for cameras. Mr. De Vil can keep his close up. See ya next year Christensens!

2010: Catching Up

Hello All! Sorry I've been away so long. Mom's fine incidentally. You can barely see the scar on her neck it's amazing. However, we have been experiencing some technical difficulties which have really yet to be resolved.

One adventure that we took was to the Peggy Norbert Nature Museum. We went in early spring before any plants were really blooming. Personally, I wasn't all that impressed, remember I am only 4 you know. I will say however that the Butterfly Exhibit that they have there is awesome. Even better than the seasonal one at Brookfield Zoo. Considering that Brookfield Zoo is one of my favorite places, that's saying quite a bit.

Here is our Easter celebration. We saw a picture of these Bunny Cupcakes in the paper and just had to try them out. It was awesome!
