If you hadn't noticed, I had to change the name of my blog from "A Toddler's Adventure Blog" because, um...hello! I'm not a baby anymore, I'm five. Don't get excited though, Mom and I are still behind on the blog...my birthday is August 13.
I got a little something extra for my birthday because my last Au Pair Nuch came to visit me, and was out and about with us on my birthday adventure.
This year we went to the Lincoln Park Zoo.
The Children's Zoo is awesome! The jungle climb thing is super cool! And come prepared to get wet because the surprise water sprayers is hysterical.
How can I keep from being silly?
I got a lot of good stuff but the best presents were my cheese hat AND! Da-da-dum! My Viking Battle Axe! Mom and I love to sword fight, but we are serious! I've got news for you, it's not Nerf or nothin'. Nerf sword break fast. You need a tang...but real swords...or wooden ones...hurt a lot...trust me, I know. So Mom was bound and determined to find us a better option. Enter our current hero: Replica Dungeon. They didn't mail me the exact axe I wanted but...YOU GOTTA ADMIT THESE THINGS ARE AWESOME!! Totally worth the money for the warrior enthusiast.
May all your birthdays be as happy as my five.

Summer Fun at Six Flags!
I was so excited when Au Pair #2, Nuch, came to visit me this summer. Well, I just had to take her to Six Flags Great America! This place is awesome! My Mom screamed and laughed so hard!
I really liked the Batman. The scary Joker Men were really cool and the special effects really impressed me. Mom wasn't as impressed as I was. She though it had cheese...whatever that means...I didn't see any cheese. I will agree with her that the line was incredibly long.
Mom's favorite was The Demon. Au Pair # 3, Gift, refused to go on it. Mom howled like a banshee but I just kept saying "Oh dear...oh boy...why did I go on this thing." I wasn't trying to be funny but Nuch and Mom couldn't tell Gift what I said without bursting into giggles so hard that they couldn't even breathe!
Mind you Great America is expensive so drink lots of Coke for discounts and if you're going to make the trip, you really can't miss the Buccaneer Battle. On this ride you have a gun, and they have a gun...water gun that is! You get to shoot other ships and people on the pier! They of course get to shoot you so you get totally soaked! Awesome!
I would suggest that you go early and make Hurricane Harbor your first stop. It's popular and crowded and reaches capacity fast. We meant to go there later in the day but could not because it filled up! Still a pretty cool day though. This is getting a Tynan 4 star rating! Actually I would give it five, but Mom suggested that we take off a star for expenses. Whatever! Go to the Money Tree Mom and pick us up more cash!
